The death of Fidel Castro: how newspapers covered it

It is the end of an era as Cuban dictator Fidel Castro has died at the age of 90.  TheMarioBlog will be updated with pages from around the globe as they become available in the next two days. Please send me your newspaper's coverage of the Castro death, not just in print, but any other platform.

Please send your pages/screenshots to my email mario@garciamedia.com

As I continue to add Death of Fidel Castro pages, the next new blog post is scheduled Monday, Dec 5

Latest update, Wednesday, Nov. 30, 8:33 a.m. Tampa, Florida

Perhaps one of the most telling is this full page graphic by the talented Jeff Goertzen, of the Orange County Register (California), which is a detailed timeline from the time Castro took over in Cuba in 1959.  More chilling, a graphic about the number of Cuban deaths attributed to the Castro regime: 10,794 death, via executions, most by firing squads. And the saddest: estimated 78,000 Cubans who may have died trying to flee Cuba.
Thanks, Jeff, for this valuable storytelling. And, personally, for dedicating the page to me.
