It's time for a bit of a summer break. Time to recharge our batteries, but returning Monday, July 28. But, before we pack our bag, here are some items that caught our eye recently from here and there.

The Mexican daily La Razón commissioned Spanish illustrator Jaime Pandelet Cerdá to draw the faces of all the players in the Mexican national team for the World Cup 2014. La Razon closed its World Cup coverage this week with all of the illustrations reproduced.

Paris Match and a photo tribute to France

To celebrate Bastille (National France Day) this year, Paris Match went all out to ask its readers to send photos of “their” France. All compiled on this week's edition. Olivier Royant, editor, says it was a big success with reader engagement.
