Watches: when size does matter

Supersize watches are all the rave: According to menswear stylist and writer Tom Stubbs, the vogues for huge watch faces (those at least 57 mm across) has taken hold. “Big, bold and bash,” is what people want.  And, interestingly, even women are increasingly buying men’s watches.

Size does matter: those big matches seduce. Could Apple decide to create a much bigger watch in the future?

People like their watches big, bold and bash.  Does that extend to the Apple Watch?

This should be of interest to the designers of those beautiful Apple Watches, which range in size from 38 to 42 mm, the average for most watches.  However, I have heard  some people complain that the face of the Apple Watch is too small for reading news.  Those who are not happy with the current size of the Apple Watch wonder if it would not be easier to read on the larger canvas of a 57 mm watch.  Who knows? Perhaps this will be one of the improvements Apple will make in its next iteration of the Apple Watch.

As for me, I have not problem reading on my 38 mm Apple Watch and would probably never consider buying a larger version.
